St Elphin’s Church hosts Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II took place at St Elphin’s Parish Church, Warrington earlier today.

Mayor of Warrington Cllr Jean Flaherty and Rector Revd. June Steventon helped lead the service which was attended by members of the armed services, air cadets, police, fire service, Borough Council, Warrington Wolves and community leaders.

Meanwhile, there will also be a National Moment of Reflection tonight (Sunday) on the Eve of the Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

This will be held on the Front Lawn of Warrington Town Hall at 7.50 pm with the Minutes’ Silence being held at 8.00 pm. You are more than welcome to attend.

There will also be a moment of reflection on Warrington Cenotaph at the same time when a minute’s silence will be followed by bagpipes.
