WARRINGTON Town suffered F.A Cup heartbreak as they were edged out 1-0 away at in-form Hyde United.
It was a second Warrington scalp for Hyde in the competition.
The Yellows had booked their place at this stage of the competition after overcoming Morpeth Town in a first qualifying round replay at Cantilever Park, while Hyde progressed after sweeping aside Warrington Rylands 4-0.
The trip to Ewen Fields saw Mark Beesley’s side come up against an in-form Tigers outfit who were looking for a fourth successive win in all competitions.
In a closely contested match, Hyde’s Liam Tongue stuck out his foot out after a set piece was scrambled away from the visitors for the only goal of the game.
The Yellows are next in action when they welcome FC United of Manchester to Cantilever Park next Saturday, September 24, kick off 3pm.
