Police to investigate after car torched at Orford

FIREFIGHTERS were called out last night after a car was torched at Orford, Warrington.

At 23:38 one fire engine from Warrington was called out following reports of a car fire on Lathom Avenue which is believed to have been started deliberately.

The fire was put out by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, using a hose reel jet.
A thermal imaging camera was then used to make sure there were no further hotspots.
Police were asked to attend due to the nature of the incident.
