Two dogs rescued as three fire crews tackle kitchen blaze at Padgate

THREE fire crews were called out earlier today to tackle a kitchen blaze in a flat at Padgate, Warrington.

Everyone from the property had been accounted for, including two dogs who had been rescued as fire crews from Birchwood, Warrington and Lymm attended at the flat fire on Valiant Close aT 10:27.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets and covering jets to put out the fire which was in the kitchen.
Everyone from the property was accounted for, including two dogs who had been rescued. A high pressure fan was used to clear smoke and ventilate the area.
The fire was caused accidentally and firefighters recommend everyone to follow kitchen safety advice.

Hard-wired smoke alarms were fitted and activated.
