CULCHETH & Glazebury Council Parish Council Chairman Neil Johnson announced the Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles the III during a special ceremony at Culcheth Millennium Garden, today, Monday.
He was joined be fellow members of the parish council, local school children and members of the public.
Cllr. Johnson, who read out the proclamation, said: “On behalf of the Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council I wish to convey our deepest sympathies to King Charles III and all the Royal Family following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
HM Queen Elizabeth II’s devotion to civic and public duty will be part of her legacy. It is something we can all attempt to emulate.
“We give thanks for her immeasurable contributions to the UK and throughout the world.
“Long live the King.”
