WORK is now underway to replace the suspended ceiling in the fitness suite at Broomfields Leisure Centre.

At this stage operators LiveWire is not yet able to confirm a completion date. They are continuing to liaise with Warrington Borough Council and the contractor and provide a further update this week.

In line with previous messages, this will impact some of the main centre opening hours, working around the wider site programme. Therefore, all customers/members are advised check the website for the pool programme and group exercise class details, and ideally pre-book your place before visiting.

Note that all programmed swimming, group exercise classes, sports hall bookings, and outdoor activities on the 3G all-weather pitch will run as normal unless informed otherwise.

LiveWire sincerely apologises for the disruption that this is causing, but the health and safety of members are of the utmost importance. Members are advised to check LiveWire social media channels before visiting the fitness suite.

Broomfields is currently awaiting to hear if it has been successful for a £9m Levelling Up bid to re-build and refurbish the outdated building.
