POLICE are investigating after vandals started a fire in parkland off Orford Lane, Warrington, late last night.
Firefighters from Warrington tackled the blaze – which involved an area of some three square metres – using a water backpack.
In another incident, firefighters from Penketh were called to Malpas Drive, Great Sankey, where controlled burning had been left unattended.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
