Drug drive suspect arrested at Hatton as residents raise concerns over speeding motorists

A 41-year-old male has been arrested at Hatton by Warrington Police on suspicion of drug driving after testing positive for two different drugs.

The male was arrested for being in charge of a vehicle after testing positive for Class A and Class B drugs.

Meanwhile, police have been engaging with locals residents in the Hatton area and assisting with directions to people trying to find their way to Creamfields.

Yesterday residents raised concerns that with the start of the festival they had found Hatton Lane was busier than normal with reports of some drivers using the lane to attempt a new land speed record!

As a result, police conducted some speed enforcement, 13 cars were captured in excess of the 30mph speed limit, the highest speed captured being 53mph!

In another incident earlier today a 21-year-old male was arrested in Warrington for a number of offences including damage and domestic assault.
