VIDEO: For the third year a special fruit festival will be taking place at Primrose Hill Nursery at High Legh near Lymm, giving people the opportunity to hear from experts on how to grow fruits.

There will be a variety of other attractions including, live music, face-painting, homemade cakes and a chance to get up close to an old steam engine, “Well Chuffed.”

The Fruit festival will be taking place over two days, Sunday, August 28th and Monday, August 29th from 12 pm-4pm.

There will also be a chance to buy locally grown flowers, fruit and vegetables from The Flower Bar and Smellanie’s Garden Flowers.
The event will also be supporting British growers, especially when it also means supporting other local businesses.
It will also provide an opportunity to see the major developments that have been taking place at Primrose Hill, including the new “Great wall of High Legh,” a living wall aimed at cutting carbon emissions.
Plans are also in the pipeline to open a coffee shop on site, serving cakes and light bites, while owner Adam Halford has also been successful in winning the tender to run the cafe at Grappenhall Heys walled Gardens from October.
