New kit for under-10s football team

AN under-10s football team from Great Sankey, Warrington, has scored a new kit from housebuilder Redrow.

Whittle Hall JFC Wizards received £600 from the housebuilder that has been used towards a new match day kit and tracksuit tops for some of its newest players.

The new kits were worn for part of last season and will last them through the 2022/2023 season that is due to start next month.
And it looks like the kits have spurred the Wizards on as the mixed team of eleven moved up a division last season and even bagged themselves their first trophy at a competition held in Liverpool.
This is the second time the team has been supported by Redrow after a £200 sponsorship in 2019 for tracksuit tops.

Coach Serena said: “Most of this team have been together since they were five-years-old and each season they are getting better and better. The recent competition win has been a huge boost to their confidence as a team as well and they really look the part in their new kits.
“Since Redrow’s last sponsorship, we have had some new players so we’ve also used the most recent monies to get those players their own tracksuit top.”
Whittle Hall JFC has teams in 12 age groups, including development teams, and plays in the Warrington Junior Football League and Warrington Junior Football Girls League.
Coach Serena added: “The success of the Lionesses at the Women’s Euros has meant we’ve seen an influx of young girls who want to play. We have one girl in the Wizards team who also plays for the girl’s team too. It’s fantastic to see and we would encourage any young girls who are interested to come down and see us play.”
