Police seek witnesses after 17-year-old boy dies in fatal collision and 13-year-old boy seriously injured

POLICE investigating a fatal collision at Culcheth, which tragically resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy, with a 13-year-old boy being seriously injured, are appealing for witnesses.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a moped and anothjer motorbike at around the time of the incident at around 9.30pm on Monday 18 July, when police were called to reports of a collision on Holcroft Lane.

Sadly, a 17-year-old boy from Irlam died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen a moped and another motorbike around the time of the incident to come forward.
The same goes to anyone who may dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
