Prolific shoplifter arrested and charged

A “prolific shoplifter” arrested in Warrington earlier today, Wednesday, has been charged with a number of offences.

Stephen Brighouse of Gloucester Street, St. Helens, was arrested on Wednesday 20 July, on suspicion of theft by members of Warrington Police’s Neighbourhood team.
The 46-year-old was charged with four counts of theft from a shop and one count of attempted theft from a shop.

Brighouse was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 20 July.
