Firefighters tackle industrial hopper blaze and wheelie bin fire

FOUR fire crews were called out during the early hours of this morning to tackle a blaze involving an industrial hopper at Risley, while another crew was called to a wheelie bin fire at Padgate.

At 00:21 firefighters were called to reports of a fire in an industrial hopper at commercial premises on Clayton Road Risley Warrington. Three hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used to initially contain and then put out the fire.

Then at 01:22 firefighters used one hose reel jet to put out a wheelie bin fire adjacent to a vacant building in Blackbrook Square, Warrington.
The fire had spread to a small part of the exterior of the building and this was extinguished by the crew.
