Two more COVID-19 related deaths as inpatient numbers fall again

TWO more COVID-19-related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital since yesterday, although inpatient numbers have fallen again.

Inpatient numbers have fallen again from 78-74 while a further nine patients have been discharged since yesterday.

Warrington & Halton Hospitals figures Monday-Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
Current inpatients as of Tuesday, July 19, 2022, compared to Monday, July 18 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 74 (78) including 3(4) in ICU.

*The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 654 – 312.3 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 279.7.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England in all settings is 698 – 333.3 per 100,000.

There have been 748 (574) COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days taking the total to 80,472 – 75,213 1st infections, 5,259 second (79,767) and an infection rate of 357.2 (274.1) per 100,000 which has risen again compared to a rate of 309.4 (246.3) for England.
