Skip fire out of control

FIREFIGHTERS were called to deal with a skip fire that was out of control at Penketh, Warrington.

One crew from Penketh attended at the scene on Widnes Road, shortly before 4:30 pm.

A fire that had been started intentionally, but got out of control, was attended by firefighters who used a hose reel.
The fire was in a skip and involved rubbish so the area was damped down and a thermal imaging camera was used the check the nearby ground for spread.
The fire was left with the occupier who was given advice.
