Fire crews called out to two more deliberate fires in the open

FIRE crews were called out to more deliberate fires in the open in the Warrington area at Howley and Dallam last night.

Shortly after 8 pm One fire engine from Warrington was called to Howley Lane to a fire involving scrap timber on open land that was extinguished with water by firefighters. It is believed that this fire was started deliberately so police were informed.

Then at 23:40 last night, one crew from Penketh was called to reports of a fire in the open on Hodgkinson Avenue, Dallam.
A hose reel jet was used to extinguish a small fire that was comprised of household waste.
