Police investigate deliberate woodland fire at Hood Manor

POLICE were called to investigate a deliberate woodland fire at Old Hall, Warrington earlier today, Friday.

At 14:52 one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a fire in woodland off Burtonwodo Road, Hood Manor.

A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the small fire which had been deliberately set in a wooded area off Burtonwood Road. Cheshire Police also attended due to the nature of the incident.

Earlier, shortly before 13:00 a crew from Warrington was called to another fire in the open off Hood Lane North, Great Sankey
Firefighters used a water backpack to extinguish an unattended campfire found in a wooded area.
