Controlled fire spreads to hedge and bushes

FIREFIGHTERS were called out today to tackle a controlled fire that spread to a hedge and bushes in Warrington.

Shortly before 2;30 pm one crew from Warrington was called to Tan House Lane, Warrington

A controlled burning had spread to a hedge and bushes at a property on Tan House Lane. The fire area covered approximately two metres by five metres.
A hose reel jet was used by the crew to put out the fire.

Meanwhile, in another incident, last night shortly after 9 pm one crew from Birchwood was called out to a fire in the open at Taylor Industrial Estate, Risley
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire in a field.
