VIDEO and Pictures as glorious sunshine greeted the return of Stockton Heath Walking Day after an absence of three years due to the pandemic.
Rev. Michael Ridley led the service of prayer on Alexandra Park before local churches, schools and community groups, including, cubs, scouts, beavers and guides, and brass bands walked through the village where they were greeted by large crowds.
The weather was perfect for the occasion, with glorious sunshine and a gentle breeze, as Stockton Heath welcomed back its Walk of Witness.
Warrington South Mp Andy Carter, who attended the event alongside members of Stockton Heath Parish Council said: “It was fantastic to see large crowds lining the streets of Stockton Heath village centre for Walking Day 2022.
“As well as the marching bands, church groups, schools, cubs, brownies, beavers, rainbows, scouts and guides there was also a special appearance by a dinosaur and a monkey!”
