Free bus travel for armed forces personnel and veterans to mark Armed Forces Day

TO mark Armed Forces Day this Saturday (June 25) Warrington’s Own Buses will be offering free travel to armed forces personnel carrying a military ID card (MOD90) and to former servicemen and women carrying a veteran’s badge.

Armed Forces Day is a chance for the public to show support for the men and women who make up the armed forces community – from currently serving troops to service families, veterans and cadets.

With events planned throughout the country, it is hoped that personnel will take up the offer to travel by bus to the event of their choice.

Ben Wakerley, Managing Director of Warrington’s Own Buses, said: “We are sending a clear and proud message to armed forces communities across the country that we appreciate them and are grateful for everything they do.”
