Two fire crews tackle kitchen fire at Latchford

TWO fire crews were called out to tackle a kitchen fire at Latchford, Warrington.

Crews from Warrington and Stockton Heath were called to Edgewater Place shortly after 7 pm last night, Thursday, to a fire involving a kitchen.
They used a hose reel and a covering jet to extinguish it. A thermal imaging camera was used to check the loft space and crews also used a large fan to remove smoke from the property.
They were in attendance for just over an hour. There was no report of any injuries.

Meanwhile, at 5.15 pm one crew from Birchwood was called to reports of a fire involving a motorbike on Calver Road, Winwick Quay which was extinguished with water while at 5.11 pm one fire engine from Warrington was called to a small fire in the engine compartment of a vehicle on Cromwell Avenue which was extinguished with a hose reel. A thermal imaging camera was also used at this incident.
