A Warrington man has been jailed following an attempted robbery at a car wash in the town.
Shaun Scanlon, from Orford, Warrington, was arrested in connection to an attempted robbery at a car wash on Winwick Street, Warrington on Friday 10 June.
The 46-year-old was subsequently charged with being in possession of a knife in a public place.
Scanlon appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
He was also ordered to pay £85 court costs and £128 victim surcharge.
