Four fire crews tackle blaze at Rylands Football Club

UPDATED: FOUR fire crews were called out to tackle a blaze at a commercial building in Warrington on Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after 3.30 pm four fire engines attended from Warrington, Birchwood, Penketh and Lymm following reports of a fire at commercial premises on Gorsey Lane in Warrington.

On arrival, crews saw one outbuilding well alight. Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for approximately two hours and thirty minutes.

Rylands FC took to social media to thank neighbours for raising the alarm and to the fire service and police for responding to the incident, stating that thankfully no one was hurt.

Football operations have not been impacted by the fire.
