Police officer assaulted as two men arrested during disturbance on Folly Lane

A Police officer was allegedly assaulted as two men were arrested during a disturbance on Folly Lane, Warrington on Bank Holiday Monday.

At 5.15pm on Monday 2 May Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Folly Lane, Warrington.

Officers attended the scene and arrested two men, aged 34 and 54, on suspicion of using threatening and abusive language. The 54-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer.

Both men were arrested and taken into custody but have since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
