Aggressive patient accused of assaulting nurse de-arrested and re-admitted to hospital

AN “aggressive” patient arrested at Warrington Hospital on Bank Holiday Monday accused of assaulting a nurse was later de-arrested and returned to the hospital.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 12.45pm on Monday 1 May officers were called to reports of an aggressive patient at Warrington District General Hospital.

“Officers attended the hospital and arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of assault.

“The man was subsequently de-arrested and returned to the hospital.”
