Man caught with drugs and offensive weapon thanks to door staff

A 44-year-old man was arrested in Warrington town centre attempting to enter licensed premises with controlled drugs and an offensive weapon.

He was caught after door staff at the premises made police aware of the situation.

The male was arrested and taken into custody for questioning.

Meanwhile in another incident Officers responded to reports from the public of a male selling fragrances for “bargain basement prices” in the town centre.

Fragrances were seized pending further investigation.

Two other males made off and enquiries to locate those involved are still ongoing.
