Police called to investigate suspected arson after car torched at Orford

POLICE are investigating after a car was torched at Orford, Warrington, during the early hours of this morning.

At 3:15 am one fire engine from Warrington was called to a car fire on Mendip Avenue. It is believed to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the flames and damp down any hotspots.

Police were informed due to the nature of the incident. Anyone with information should contact the police via 101 or online via
