Act of vandalism causes £3,000 worth of damage and deprives youngsters of playing rugby

AN act of vandalism at a local rugby pitch has caused an estimated £3,000 worth of damage while also depriving local youngsters of playing their favourite sport.

Rugby posts on a sports pitch used by Rylands Sharks near Gorsey Lane, were damaged beyond repair sometime during Friday night.

While waiting to study CCTV the club is now appealing for any information to help catch those responsible.

Rugby Posts cost around £3000 with installation and this now prevents children and young people playing. CCTV will be checked but If anyone has any information, please contact the club https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/rylandssharks/

Rylands Sharks are an amateur Rugby League club based in Warrington. They have teams from Cubs up to Under 18s at junior level.
