A one-week road closure is set to come into force in Burtonwood next week to allow United Utilities to carry out resurfacing work.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Weymouth Road from its junction with Chapel Lane to its junction with Dorchester Way.

The Order will be effective from 25th April 2022 for one week, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Chapel Lane, Fir Tree Lane, Camborne Road and vice versa.

The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out resurfacing works.
