One more COVID-19 related death as hospital inpatient number remain high including three in intensive care

ONE more COVID-19-related death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital, where inpatient numbers remain high including three in intensive care, as infection rates continue to fall.

Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have fallen slightly again from 98-96 including 3 (1) in intensive care, while 16 more patients have been discharged since yesterday.

Current inpatients as of Wednesday, April 6, 2022 (confirmed positive result – 14 days or less from first positive sample) – 96 (98) including 3 (1) in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 615 – 293.7 per 100,000 population compared to the national rate of 255.

There have been 845 (923) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington over the past seven days, including 93 (146) since yesterday, taking the total to 75,809 (75,716) and an infection rate of 490 (517.7) per 100,000 which has fallen again, while the national rate also continues to fall to 442.9 (463.8).
Testing has also fallen by -954,046 (-24%) over the past seven days.
