OFFICERS investigating a collision involving a motorbike and a 10-year-old boy on Farrell Street, Warrington, are appealing for witnesses.
At around 3.35 pm on Friday 25 March, the 10-year-old boy was crossing at the traffic lights on Farrell Street when he was struck by a grey BMW motorbike.
The rider of the motorbike stopped at the scene but left before officers attended.
The boy was taken to hospital by paramedics were he received treatment for minor injuries.
Police are now appealing for the rider of the bike or any witnesses to come forward.
Police Constable Hannah Dodgson said: “Thankfully the child suffered minor injuries as a result of the collision but it doesn’t bear thinking about what could have happened.
“The Farrell Street area would have been busy at this time of day due to the nearby school and so I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to us, to please do so.
“The same goes to anyone who may have captured dashcam or CCTV footage of the motorbike prior or just after the collision.
“I would also ask the rider of the motorbike to please come forward to police so that they can assist with our enquiries.”
