HOSPITAL inpatient numbers and COVID19 infection rates are continuing to fall in Warrington, although the town’s A&E department remains under pressure with lengthy waiting times.
Inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have fallen for a second consecutive day from 100-95 while 12 more patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours.
But the hospital is continuing to appeal for people to only attend the accident and emergency department in an emergency. As of 4:45 pm today in Warrington Hospital Emergency Department the longest wait to see a doctor/nurse was over 4 hours, with 60 people waiting and 124 on the department.
