Latchford well represented in Teachers v Universities fixture

LATCHFORD Albion were well represented – on both sides – in a fixture between GB Teachers RLFC and England Universities RLFC.

On the Teacher’s side, Martyn Ellis was head coach with Dave Rudd, assistant and Adam Wood also part of the coaching staff.

Albions physio, Sue Rudd, was also the physio for the teachers. On the field, Rob Marsh was selected at stand-off for the fixture.

On the Universities side, two Albion players were in the team.

Charlie McCurrie was second row, and Matty Rudd – son of Dave and Sue – played stand-off and contributed a personal haul of 12 points from a try and four goals.

The game was a good contest with England Universities taking the victory 32-12.
