IN response to Ukraine’s request for demonstrations for peace and solidarity, Lymm Runners challenged their runners to ‘step up’ and run an extra half mile on a Club Run and to wear yellow and blue.
All members were asked to donate to their preferred charity and the club matched their contributions, rounding up to £500.
Lymm Runners meet outside Lymm Leisure Centre on Thursdays at 7pm (this now includes a Power Walk group), and outside Lymm Library on Sundays at 8.30 am and Wednesdays at 9.15am.
On Tuesdays they meet on Lymm High School playing fields for the Track Training Session in summer and the track at Victoria Park, Warrington in Winter.
The Club was formed in 2010 and now has more than 400 members. It is the only running club in the village.
