Firefighters tackle horse manure fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called out earlier today to tackle a fire involving horse manure at Winwick, Warrington.

Shortly after 10 am one crew from Warrington was called out to Hollins Lane in Winwick.

A pile of horse manure on fire required firefighters to extinguish it with a bucket of water.

In another incident yesterday shortly before 5:45 pm one crew from Warrington was called to a garden fire on Rock Road, Latchford, Warrington.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters using water from a hose reel. The fire had been set intentionally.
