Five fire crews tackle roof fire at commercial premises

FIVE fire crews were called out during the early hours of this morning to tackle a fire in the roof space of commercial premises on Liverpool Road, Warrington.

Shortly before 5am two crews from Penkleth and one each from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Widnes, were called out to the incident at business premises near Bank Quay.

The fire was in the roof space above a toilet at commercial premises and required two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

They used a hose reel and a dry powder fire extinguisher at the incident and remained on the scene for one hour.
