Settee torched next to electrical sub-station at Orford

FIREFIGHTERS were called out during the early hours of this morning when a settee was set on fire next to an electrical sub-station at Orford, Warrington.

One crew from Warrington was called out at 3:25 am following reports of a settee on fire near an electrical substation in Bittern Close, Orford.

The fire was extinguished with a hose reel by firefighters. The settee was well alight when the crew arrived.

Meanwhile in another incident shortly before 7 pm last night, firefighters from Penketh were called to reports of a fire in the open on Warrington Road.

Smoke was seen coming from behind premises on Warrington Road and when firefighters attended they found a small fire that had been started intentionally. They extinguished it with one hose reel as the fire was unattended.
