Fire crews help paramedics release male casualty from van following collision

THREE fire crews assisted paramedics in releasing a male casualty from a one-vehicle collision at Winwick, Warrington last night.

Shortly before 8.30 pm fire crews from Warrington, Birchwood and Lymm attended a collision involving a van at the junction of A579 and A49 at Winwick, Warrington.

The crews assisted paramedics in extricating a male casualty.

In an earlier incident, shortly after 5.30 pm one crew from Warrington was called to a small bonfire in St Anselms Place, Warrington.

Crews used a water backpack to put out the fire.
