Twelve weeks of footpath works set to start next week

UP to twelve weeks of footpath resurfacing works is set to start in Warrington next Monday, January 10.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a clearway to prohibit stopping, loading, parking, and waiting as follows: Entire lengths of road: Rear of 92 to 130 Wellfield Street; Gable of 92 Wellfield Street; Pewterspear Lane; From Pewterspear Lane for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Highfield Avenue; Willow Lane; Gainsborough Road from Elphins Drive to Irwell Road; From Gainsborough Road for 50 metres along the following lengths of road: Cranborne Avenue; Landseer Avenue; Burgess Avenue; Warrington Road from Star Lane to a point 100 metres west of Fox Gardens; Pelham Road from No. 20 Pelham Road to the western end of the road at Thelwall Community Infant School.

The Order will be effective from 10th January 2022 for 12 weeks between 9am to 5pm off carriageway and 9:30am to 3:30pm on carriageway, when signed on site.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The restrictions are required for footway resurfacing.
