1

A road closure is looming at Penketh later this month to allow Vodafone to carry out pole replacement works.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Farnworth Road (south westbound traffic) from its junction with Greenall Avenue to its junction with Widnes Road.

The Order will be effective from 17th January 2022 for five days, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.

The alternative route will be via Warrington Road, Penketh Road, Warrington Road and Widnes Road. The closure is required to allow Vodafone to carry out pole replacement works.
