Public praised after coming to assistance of 90-year-old woman injured by fall

POLICE have praised members of the public who came to the aid of a 90-year-old woman who injured her hip following a fall at Culcheth, Warrington.

Numerous members of the public stopped to offer help after the woman fell on Common Lane in the village and also suffered suspected hypothermia.

Officers also thanked staff from the CO-OP and Sainsbury’s in Culcheth, who were able to assist with additional foil blankets and drinks whilst awaiting the arrival of an Ambulance.
