SEVENTEEN members of Spectrum Striders Running Club each ran the distance from John O’Groats to Lands End during 2021.
Four members completed the distance twice, while one ran an incredible 2500 miles to complete the challenge three times!
Members said the challenge motivated them to get outdoors and keep running despite the COVID-19 restrictions and cancelled races.
Spectrum Striders is a friendly running club catering for runners of all abilities and all disciplines – from 5k to marathons, on-road, cross-country and trail runs.
They meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Birchwood Leisure and Tennis centre, and at Victoria Park track in the summer.
New members are always welcome and they run a course for complete beginners twice a year.
