Planning chiefs approve detached house on Green Belt site

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have approved proposals for a detached house on Green Belt land at Glazebury.

The development at Wards End Farm, Lately Common involves demolition of an existing agricultural building.
Officers decided the development would be appropriate in the Green Belt after hearing the building had not been used for agricultural purposes for more than 10 years but had been used for storage of tools and equipment in connection with tree services and a livery business.
About 80 per cent of the building would be demolished and the rest retained for storage purposes.
There had been no objections from neighbours, nor from Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council, although the council had noted it would be concerned about future developments in the Green Belt.
