Fire crews tackle oil leak after HGV overturns at Omega Business Park

TWO fire crews were called out during the early hours of this morning to tackle an oil leak after a HGV overturned at the Omega Business Park.

At around 3:30am Two fire engines from Warrington and Penketh were dispatched to reports of a collision on Skyline Drive, Warrington.

On arrival, the crews found a HGV that had overturned and was leaking fuel onto the road at the Omega Business Park.

Firefighters used absorbent pads to soak up the oil and were detained at the scene for around 20 minutes.

There were no reports of any injuries.

In another incident, shortly before 4 am, firefighters from Stockton Heath used a hose reel jet to extinguish a large skip fire on Orford Green, Warrington.

The crew was detained at the scene for around one hour.
