TO give greater certainty for customers local bus company Warrington’s Own Buses is reducing their network from Monday (Dec 6) to match the available number of drivers.
Like many other companies, they are suffering from driver shortages that continue to impact bus services.
To give greater certainty for customers, they are going to further reduce their network to match the available number of drivers they have.
Meanwhile the company has increased pay rates for a second time this year and every effort is being made to recruit and retain drivers.
The company say they have been careful to ensure the maximum network has a bus service and they have withdrawn ‘out of town’ services to prioritise Warrington.
Revised timetables will be in operation for the following services.
Service 1, 2, 11 & 12
Service 3 & 4
Service 13, 14 & 15
Service 16 & 16A
Service 17, 17A & 17C
Service 20 & 21
Service 22
Service 25
Service 32
Service CAT5, CAT6, CAT7, CAT8, CAT9 & 9A
The company has apologised for the short notice, but this is to minimise service cancellations.
