WARRINGTON is the drive-thru capital of the UK – with four restaurants ranked in the top 10.

A new study by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts analysed more than 580 individual restaurants across 60 towns and cities to reveal the best and worst drive-thrus to visit.

The survey revealed that Warrington had the highest number of drive-thrus in all the regions studied, with 7.6 drive-thrus for every 100,000 population.
Close second was Bolton with 7.4 while Swansea, with 7.3 came third.

But in addition, Warrington had four restaurants listed in the top 10, with Starbucks at Oakwood Gate named as the second-best drive-thru in the UK.

Three McDonald’s drive-thrus at Birchwood, Riverside and Gemini were named as sixth, seventh and eighth in the Top 10.

Surprisingly, London had the lowest number of drive-thrus, with just 0.7 per resident.

In addition, the capital was home to the 10 worst drive-thrus in the country.
