No further COVID-19 deaths but 154 new cases confirmed as decline in infection rates starts to slow

WHILE no new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital, 154 new cases have been confirmed in the town, with recent falls in infection rates showing signs of starting to slow.

The 154 (114) new cases reported by Public Health England, take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 35,128 (34,974).

Infection rates in Warrington have fallen slightly to 892 (897) – 426 (428.4) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period and remain above the national average of 416.2 (416.8) per 100,000, which have also fallen again marginally.
The number of inpatients in intensive care has risen from four to six, while six patients have also been discharged.
