Various road closures in Whittle Hall, Westbrook and Orford

VARIOUS road closures are set to come into force on Monday (October 25) in the Whittle Hall, Westbrook and Orford areas of Warrington for up to seven weeks.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving and clearway as follows:
Entire lengths of road: Fairbourne Close; Ruthin Close; Creswell Close; Granston Close; Penmark Close; Livingstone Close cul-de-sac at 12 to 58; St. David’s Drive from Callands Road to Brecon Court; Amelia Street from Synge Street to Fitzherbert Street.



The Order will be effective from 25th October 2021 for seven weeks between 8:30am and 5:30pm, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative routes are as follows: St. David’s Drive via Callands Road, St. David’s Drive and vice versa; Amelia Street via Orford Lane, Rhodes Street, Fitzherbert Street and vice versa or Orford Lane, Orford Avenue, Fitzherbert Street and vice versa.
The road closure restrictions are required for carriageway and footway surfacing.
