FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle two fires in the open in the Warrington area earlier today.
At 12:40 one fire engine from Birchwood was called following reports of a fire in the open on Winwick Lane.
One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames.
Then at 16:30 one fire engine from Warrington was called to extinguish a small fire located in bushes on Sandy Lane, Orford.
Crews used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
