Road set to close for up to four weeks for power cable works

A road closure is set to start at Houghton Green, Warrington on Monday (October 4) for up to four weeks while Scottish Power remove overhead cables and renew with a new underground supply.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving on Radley Lane from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 200 metres in a southerly direction.
The Order will be effective from 4th October 2021 for 4 weeks, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The closure is required to allow Scottish Power to remove their overhead cable and renew with a new underground supply.
